Maryam and Adam didn’t just DIY their wedding; they engineered a miracle. Hauling an entire creative vision from Austin to Pescadero, they transformed the Venture Retreat Center into a whimsical, woodland festival. Having met at a festival they wanted to bring these vibes to their wedding day. An infectiously happy and quirky couple whose personalities shone through, think giant sculptural blooms, a wizard led ceremony, and a guest list clad in fairy-tale finery as encouraged by the couple. It was a two-day fusion of Maryam’s Afghan heritage and Adam’s Californian coastal roots, set against a backdrop of ancient redwood forests, iconic California coastline and historical Pescadero.

For a photographer, capturing this level of infectious joy and stylistic quirk—from the redwoods to the sea—is the ultimate dream.
