When Abby and John asked me to shoot their wedding I was so excited and honoured, not only because Abby is a childhood friend but that they would entrust me to capture such an amazing location. Bambu Indah in Ubud, Bali, certainly didn’t disappoint. From the rice fields to the antique Javanese buildings to the view, river, bamboo structures, food and so much more. The Balinese pay so much attention to detail is was almost overwhelming attempting to capture it all. I love colour, and this wedding delivered it in abundance, I found I had to tone the colour down on many photographs as the natural colours were so vibrant that it almost looked unnatural. Despite the awe inspiring location, what made it so special was Abby, John and their family and friends who were relaxed, appreciative and cheerful throughout. Despite Abby and John living on the other side of the earth, I know when I see them again it will be as though no time has passed. I feel myself and the guests at this wedding will never forget this magical experience, thanks Abby and John for allowing me to be a part of it.
