To be able to travel to destinations such as Santorini for work is a dream come true, but it wouldn't be the amazing experience without the couples that make it so much fun through their adventurous spirit and kindness.
Georgia and Jason made Dave and I feel like guests and were so trusting, letting us guide them all over the island for photos on a maze of back paths that Dave and I mapped out the day before. Our first photo session, post ceremony, was at midday in the scorching heat, despite this Georgia and Jason embraced their surroundings and climbed on all the roofs as instructed without...
My job allows me to travel to some pretty amazing places where I get to meet equality awesome people and communities. Kaikoura is no exception, a small surf town smashed by an earthquake and full of beauty.
For photos, Pip and Sam had planned a helicopter to the mountaintop beside a turquoise lake that had recently been formed by the earthquake, along with driving up a 4WD track to a special spot they had picked on the mountainside. The weather was stunning all morning, then almost exactly at the time Pip was due to walk down the isle it changed dramatically, with looming clouds and high winds....
Kelly & Chris, what can I say other than, thankyou. Thankyou for fully appreciating every moment of your wedding day. Your gratitude towards your surrounds and overall excitement to be married and in such a stunning location/style was so lovely to witness. Lastly thanks for being awesome and having Dave and I along for the ride.

This was a special one. Justine and John travelled over to New Zealand's south Island with their family to elope in the stunning Milford Sound area.
When I heard their plans to elope in an alpine area and do a hike post ceremony for photos, I got more than a bit excited as not only do I love mountains but also hiking. I suggested they check out one of my favourite spots, Knobs Flat, a low key area in the middle of the Milford Sound valley. After a long planning process they decided that New Zealand and Milford Sound was the pick.
The morning started with a Chinese Tea ceremony followed by their...

I am drawn to all things ethereal which usually involves some form of nature, so it was such a buzz to explore this aesthetic in one of the most recognisable urban landscapes in the world, New York City.
I had dreams of doing a shoot on the busy roads of manhattan and the Brooklyn bridge but I didn't think it would be possible mainly due to the enormous amount of people in these areas. It may have been a standard day in the life of a NYC photographer but I am a lot more used to battling the elements on top of a mountain or avoiding insects, cows etc in a forest or paddock. Enter the incredible...
Clare and Harry sure knew how to put on a party, and what better place to party than Williamsburg, New York City.
I was beyond excited to be given the opportunity to photograph a wedding in NYC, especially for people as awesome as Clare and Harry. I simply loved working in the urban environment with all its grungy textures and character filled streets.

Creatively collaborating with Heavenly Blooms has always been a blast but I have to say this shoot really sticks in my mind as being one of our funnest and most rewarding. Capturing the first light of the day in the burnt bushland with the radiant Aki, who couldn't have been more perfect wearing these amazing creations by Heavenly Blooms.

This shoot celebrates the incredible area of Aoraki / Mt Cook in New Zealand. This national park region features the highest mountain in New Zealand and remains one of the most untouched and naturally beautiful areas in the country. With the aid of a helicopter via Inflite we were given access to some of this rugged and stunning scenery, from the mountaintops to the huts by the river. The muted tones from the onset of winter added to the textural and raw quality of the landscape. As far as adventure and nature focused weddings go, this area really has it all.

We wanted to bring light to a space, which is normally in darkness, revealing the character and history within that space. With rich colours, decay and a touch of decadence, the floral elements form one of the main features of the shoot. Growing out of the man made and forgotten concrete and dirt space, we wanted the installation to feel like we are re-invigorating the space with warmth and nature. Charlotte our model offers an ethereal and edgy element to the shoot, fitting with the setting.
As regular collaborators, heavenly blooms and myself have found a perfect creative match in that we both...
Iceland is truly like nowhere else on earth, there is no surprise why it has become flavour of the month.
It has been at the top of my wish list for some time due to its natural beauty and the fact that it's a photographer’s dream, but nothing could prepare me for just how much of a dream it really was. The landscape is beyond words and the dramatic light meant the photo opportunities were endless. We planned a trip going around the entire island in our mini camper van. After the first few days of stopping every few minutes to see something incredible, we knew that we would only scratch...

Inspired by the elements, muted tones and textural qualities of New Zealand’s south Island mountain ranges. As a photographer, I'm all about the outdoors, and New Zealand’s natural beauty has captured my imagination. A boho feel with rich earthy tones and a few pops of colour and glamour.

As winners of ‘Win a Wanaka Wedding Competition’, Mia and Ben got wisped away to the mountains and lakes of Wanaka, New Zealand. A team of local wedding professionals treated Mia and Ben and their close friends and family to a picture perfect wedding. The wedding showcased not only the natural beauty of Wanaka and surrounds but also the talents of the amazing wedding professionals that are based in the area. All aspects were covered from luxury accommodation, wedding styling, coordination, flowers, hair, makeup, exclusive locally made jewellery and a vegetarian feast. After a ceremony and lunch...
Finally these two lovely ladies are on the blog, this was a real highlight of 2016 so get comfy and have a look through a wedding that was all kinds of beautiful. I felt so privileged the girls asked me along for the ride.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for the girls who married in the rustic country surrounds of the fabulous Yandina station. We headed down to a pineapple plantation for some photos, which was near where Robyn grew up so it was a location must, returning to a full moon lit barn to see the night out.
Congrats girls and wishing you the happiest life together.

Cue ridiculously photogenic couple + mother nature and it looks all kinds of lovely. A smokey afternoon spent in the forest with these two was amazing. I cannot wait for their wedding in a few weeks, this is one of the reason I love my job.
I don't think I have laughed so much at a wedding before, I smile each time I look at these photos. The combination of Bec's sweetness and Troy's character made them so much fun to be around. From the sincere moments to the fun, this wedding was great. A massive congrats to Bec and Troy, I have no doubt you will have an awesome life together.

Alone in front of the ocean, she awaits her man, sailed away to the seas of Africa. To protect herself from the long winter and defend herself from nostalgia, she wraps herself in blankets and scarves. She wears the jumper of her distant loved one, his “good” clothes. She adapts them to her femininity transforming them in a surreal way and mixes them with her wardrobe alternating fluidity and rustic aspects in a fascinating game of contrasts. Though remaining anchored to her concreteness, “she” lets herself be conveyed every so often into a dreamlike dimension that...

I was stoked when Heavenly Blooms asked me to do this shoot showcasing their amazing floral designs as we are so well aligned in our aesthetics, being inspired by nature and all things wild and organic. I found this location whilst exploring one day and thought it would be a perfect fit, Heavenly Blooms bouquets look like they have been delicately plucked from the surrounds and Shaanti certainly made herself at home in this textured natural wonderland.

I love shooting destination weddings for so many different reasons but one of them is that most people at the wedding are on holiday so there is always such a relaxed/ party atmosphere, these guys certainly let their hair down. Teaming up with some of New Zealand's amazing wedding and fashion industry people we put together this shoot featuring the iconic New Zealand landscape. Being known for its broad vistas and wind swept hills, I was particularly drawn to the wind weathered trees and ancient looking forests. After days exploring, I found this secret little lichen-covered forest placed beside a wind swept hill. We ventured out one rainy afternoon to capture this textured landscape and the contrasting white vintage inspired dresses from A La Robe.

It has taken me sometime to get around to posting this, mainly because I am still in denial. Don't worry nothing happened to the lovely Mariko (pictured here).
So as some of you may know we went to Borneo this year, I have dreamed of going to Borneo and getting lost in the jungle with my camera for a very long time, in fact the idea of this is what got me into photography in the first place. So while this was a holiday as opposed to purely work, I made the most of the opportunity and captured as much of the amazingness as possible. I lugged my camera up the highest peak in Asia, captured giant...
